Jared: And then, it was done.

Sitting in the Nashville airport, I realized the day wouldn’t be complete without filing a post about the end of Accelerator.

In many ways, I have to say that my feelings are mixed. On one hand, I am really really glad that I will finally be able to get back to that whole sleeping thing. On the other, it’s hard to part ways with the great coaching relationships we’ve formed with many of the students.

For instance, I rode here with Brett, Neil and Jesse; all of who have made serious strides forward as leaders in just four short weeks. Others, like Alex, Katlin, Jordan and Brittany – just to name a few - have been able to bring out parts of themselves that have made them ready to be true rock stars among their non-Accelerator peers.

On a personal note, its also amazing how much we, as coaches, have been able to learn from the students. As Pat points out, each of us has our own particular approach to coaching and being able to work with many different styles of smart students, it puts you through the paces no matter what kind of experience you think you have had in the past.

Honestly, the more I write about the experience, the more I realize just how much has been done here. After all the banners have been taken down and the tables have been taken away, the Owen lobby will never quite feel the same.

To all of the students: Good luck on your journey to great careers and always remember there will always be a home for you at Owen.

To all of my fellow coaches: {IN VOICE OF CAROL/YODA} – “Straw dog we will have again come fall.”
