WBA Keynote: Beth Canavan

Wow. The keynote just finished her prepared speech and is taking questions from the audience. She gave a wonderful speech that was very inspiring. She made sure to point out that balancing a career and a family will never be easy, and there is no plan for everyone to follow, but the hard work will pay off. A fulfilling career and family life takes a great employer, a great partner, and a lot of optimism. I had a great time at the WBA conference - very quickly, I wanted to make a comment -

The true take-away for me from Ms. Canavan's speech and her comments throughout the event:

one must have as employees and/or be working with the right people and one must follow one's passion.

Funny how it really is quite simple. These two pieces, people and passion, always seem to present themselves in the foundation of true successes.

Many thanks to Ms. Canavan for the time she spent with us all- she is so uplifting - and thanks to all the Owen candidates for putting the program together.
