Monday morning mumbling
In Poland, November is called them month when leaves fall. A depressing time of the year: cold, wet and generally unpleasant. But I miss it. The past weekend was on the chilly side and now it's not exactly warm either, but it's not like we can control the weather, right? This morning I woke up to fog, not that it lasted, but it was kind of cool to watch the sun "burn" it's way through the cloudy sky. The thing, for me, that would make the autumn complete is a murder of crows. How do you know you are supposed to be depressed if there isn't a sound that sends a chill down your spine to remind you?
Talking about depression, it's hard to stay awake. But there is always something fun to do to remind you that the world is a weird, but funnily place. After you watch consider carefully if you are using too many smalies in your e-mails...
I found this really neat blog, about school life in general, but seen from the perspective of a professor. So if you get a chance, check out the Phantom Professor and see what the other side thinks.
As for me, I have the week cut out for me with: two cases due this week, a Thanksgiving potluck dinner for 30 on Tuesday night, somewhere in between there is a business plan presentation, the HC case is haunting me, finance homework is as always due Friday, and last, but definitely not least, the registration for next two mods needs to be completed by the 20th. The process itself is fairly simple, I mean we are MBA students here, but picking classes and having contingencies in case I don’t get what I want is simply hell. I had an hour long discussion with a friend last night about what to take, when, and why now or later. Exhausting, but it must be done. The good thing about Owen’s system is that we rate the classes on how badly we want them and if there is a need a section is added to accommodate additional students. But pre-requisites, as in any school, are a killer. So wish me luck, today I brave the system.
