Weekly Roundup Nov. 17, 2006
OK, so I get this e-mail thanking everyone who has posted last week’s roundup and I feel like a total fool. I still have it on my white board for last week to do it. I’m only a week off, but that’s OK. Topic: to reflect on their application process. So my imperfect time machine takes me back to the questionable pleasures of stressing over essay writing. I knew I should write my essays early, but it wasn’t until the last day that I truly understood the meaning of “early.” If I knew what early meant, I would have stated wring them about the same time I started my GMAT prep. Talking of the GMAT prep, talk about going to hell in a handbasket… What ever you do, remember it will be harder then you thought and you will never know which questions you got wrong. Those few hours in the testing room have been happily removed from my memory. Like a formatted hard drive, all gone now. So plan on doing something spectacular after you take the test, just not on the same day because your life energy will be sucked out of you. But will it get better, I promise. Mind is a tricky thing and memory fails us for a good reason.
It’s like picking the perfect school. I looked for strong program, in and out of school opportunities and fit. You may also read this sentence as: Healthcare, good night life in Nashville combined with a powerful university, and a small program. My ego wouldn’t survive being one of so many shining stars.
Not a family movie:
Ghost in the Shell (a.k.a. Kôkaku kidôtai)
