Oh sweet validation.
The Nashville Scene picked up OwenBlogger’s interview with Third Man Records’ Ben Blackwell as a continuation of their cover story on the famed label last month.
We at the Owen Podcast Series tried not to veer into “annoying fanboy” territory, but we got dangerously close as we welcomed Ben Blackwell, the Pinball Wizard and Director of Operations at Nashville’s illustrious Third Man Records, to the show. Ben, a music industry “lifer”, has been a drummer in The Dirtbombs since he was 17 and joined Jack White’s label to direct their vinyl production operations in 2009. He shares his opinions on vinyl’s current resurgence in popularity, the innovation that seems to constantly stream out of Third Man, and what we can expect from the label in 2011.
